Policies
My relationship with my clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.
As a condition of working with me, all clients agree to the policies below. If you don't support any of my policies, please refrain from scheduling an appointment with me. Thank you!
Privacy Policy
Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form online. This form must be updated once a year or any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness).
The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.
Cancellation Policy
As a sole practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients (that's you!).
When you cancel on short notice, my livelihood is jeopardized. You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care.
I have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, for any reason, the card on file will be charged for the full treatment cost. If you’re 30 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled.
No, really, ANY REASON: Illness, injury, emergency, alien abduction...
The exception: If you fill your spot, I'll waive the fee. (Road closures due to snow storms)
Think of your massage appointment like a concert ticket. If you can’t make it, you either send a friend in your place or absorb the cost.
It's not a punishment; it's the protection of my most valuable resource—my time.
The good news? I honor my policy in reverse! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is free. I value your time and require the same in kind.
Appointment Times
Please note that the time you have booked is the length of your entire appointment, not the hands-on massage time.
At your first visit, I conduct a thorough intake interview where I cover your health history and your goals. I provide a detailed description of my treatment plan so there are never any surprises during your massage. I obtain verbal and written consent. Orthopedic assessments may be required to provide a safe and effective treatment.
I do my best to maximize your hands-on time, but please be aware that it is rarely the full length of the appointment time. You should expect up to 10 minutes for review and assessment with the intake interview on your first visit.
Want more time? I don't blame you! I always recommend booking at least 90 minutes.
Refusal of Service
For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Thank you for keeping my home practice safe.
